Welcome to the AAOMC 2020 Online Fundraiser! We will be running this event throughout the year to help raise money for the AAOMC in lieu of the substantial financial loss we suffered from canceling our annual education meeting Vision By Design 2020, due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS FUNDRAISER

As an attendee of this online fundraising event here is some helpful information on how you can contribute.

We have organized 6 different tiers of contribution and have included some rewards in each tier as part of our way of saying THANK YOU for helping the AAOMC during this difficult time. WHAT YOUR CONTRIBUTION GOES TO...

The money we raise now will greatly impact the following things

+ Offsetting the fees and costs associated with refunding registrations, refunding sponsors, suspending contractual obligations, and canceling services.

+ Paying for the logistics and infrastructure we already had in place for VBD2020 but depended on meeting revenue to cover the cost. Such as; printed materials and signage, app/website development and services, advertising, etc

+ Paying our staff - the AAOMC has two full time employees (Matthew Herzberg, Executive Director and Sarah Witt, Conference Coordinator) as well as one part time employee (Alisa Allen-Barzano, Administrative Assistant). A significant portion of the revenue that we typically generate from a Vision By Design meeting goes towards the salary and benefits our staff for the year.

+ Initial investment for the next Vision By Design meetings. 2021 has already been secured and we are currently securing a 2022 venue. These properties require incremental deposits as part of our contract to keep the venue. Without our revenue from 2020 it will be even more difficult to keep the deposits on these venues paid on time.

+ Investment for the 2020 Virtual Conference. AAOMC will be switching VBD 2020 to a virtual conference later this year. However we will need to put down deposits on vital services to make this virtual event a reality.
